Pavilion Med Transportation, a non-emergency medical transportation service in Northern VA, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Non-Emergency Medical Dispatcher. We are seeking full-time non-emergency medical transportation dispatchers and drivers who are compassionate, caring, reliable, and responsible. As an employee you will play a vital role in assisting clients by providing safe and reliable transportation to medical facilities, areas of residence, skilled nursing facilities, or assisted living facilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Position Overview:
- As a Non-Emergency Transportation Driver Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in our organization by coordinating transportation schedules, answering calls, assigning drivers to routes, and ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs for our clients. You will be responsible for managing communication between drivers, clients, and other team members to ensure the highest level of service quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate transportation schedules and assignments for non-emergency medical trips.
- Answer incoming calls, and set up reservations
- Assign drivers to routes based on location, availability, and client needs.
- Monitor driver performance and provide support as needed to ensure on-time arrivals and departures.
- Communicate with clients to confirm trip details and address any concerns or special requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of trip assignments, driver schedules, and client information.
- Respond promptly to incoming calls, emails, and messages from drivers and clients.
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during transportation operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using dispatching software and GPS navigation systems.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and transportation regulations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Requirements:
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Maintain strong attendance, reliability, and remain calm in emergencies.
- Have reliable transportation to and from work, capable of driving in inclement weather.
- Flexibility for on-call rotations after hours, holidays, and weekends if needed.
- Good driving record with no more than a (-)2.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 23 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Possess a clean driving record in VA and provide a 5-year certified driving record.
- Must possess a valid Drivers License and NOT been suspended
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.08 - $22.00 per hour
