What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Cashier position at Pavilion Restaurant?
We are looking for a competent Restaurant Hostess/Cashier who has a polite and friendly attitude. You will be the face of our restaurant and responsible for many things that contribute to our customer's experiences. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service and hospitality that exceeds our customer's expectations, helping us maintain our current clientele and attract new ones.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years or older.
- Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.
- Must be efficient and accurate with money and figures.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to customer satisfaction as well as showing them exceptional hospitality.
- Must be able to reliably commute.
- Must have a working cell phone (we use a schedule app).
Responsibilities
- Attend to customers and greet them upon entrance, take and input orders into a POS system either in person or over the phone, issue and take payments for correct bills, invite customers to return when exiting and more.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen/bar staff.
- Deal with complaints or problems correctly and with a positive attitude.
- Maintain a positive attendance record by reporting to work for assigned shifts at the scheduled time.
- Follow policies, systems, and procedures as outlined by the company.
- Perform side-work duties, and all end-of-shift checkout procedures satisfactorily as outlined by the company.
- Maintain a good team environment by assisting other team members with their station duties and side-work when there is a need and/or when available.
