We're seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a passion for the frontend to join our tight-knit, dynamic engineering team of 10. We ship fast while supporting each other, don’t take ourselves too seriously, and always keep it fun and collaborative. This is a full-time role based in San Francisco, CA. We enjoy working together in person and support a hybrid work environment : most of our team members spend 3 days in our San Francisco office and the other days working from home, with occasional longer stints working remotely. When we’re in the office, we eat lunch together, hang out at Thursday team socials, and occasionally do procurement-themed scavenger hunts.
What you will do :
- Help Pavilion grow its government marketplace. You’ll collaborate with an experienced team of engineers, PMs, and designers to dream up and build high-impact features that help transform the process of government purchasing and improve public outcomes at scale.
- Create delightful and performant UIs that improve the workflows of government buyers. Drive improvements to our core frontend technology, patterns, and best practices.
- Work on thorny technical problems like entity resolution, AI explainability, and the cutting edge of semantic search using LLMs and vector DBs. Build zero-to-one features like supplier-first search and on-platform messaging.
- Mentor team members, sharing your expertise and wisdom to uplift our collective skills and knowledge.
