Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Service Technician to join our fire business unit.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to demonstrate responsibility in being on time, regular consistent work attendance, good communication and completing all necessary field paperwork as needed
- The ability to carry and climb step/extension ladders where needed and lift objects up to 50 pounds when needed
- Position includes Service of all types of low voltage systems, including Fire, Security, Access Control, Cameras
- Candidate must have experience in servicing/troubleshooting fire alarm systems, addressable and conventional
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in fire alarm technology and industry standards
- Maintain inventory on truck and have knowledge and understanding of all parts, part numbers and descriptions
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of fire protection systems
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, designs, and installations for compliance documentation
- Provide training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of installed fire protection systems
- Candidate must be willing to participate in the on-call rotation
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in fire alarms
- Candidate must possess a Massachusetts Class B or D License, preferably with experience in fire alarm service and installation
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Customer service skills
Salary: $40-50 an hour, based on experience.
