Title: Adult Education Success Coach
Job Location: Cedar Street
Reports To: Community Education Director
Job Type: Hourly/Non-Exempt/Section 107 A grant funded position through June 30, 2026
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years of study at an institution of higher education, or Associate’s (or higher) degree, or meet rigorous standards through formal state or local academic assessment of ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and the business community
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse educational backgrounds
- Computer ability (must be proficient in all aspects of Microsoft software)
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with adult learners, strongly preferred
- Knowledge of community resources, preferred
Job Description:
- Increase enrollment and retention rates in adult education programs
- Improve career readiness skills
- Increase internship and job placement opportunities
- Sustain career pathways for participants in high growth/high demand sectors, contributing to economic mobility and regional workforce development
- Assist students in developing an individualized timeline and plan for earning their GED or diploma.
- Maintain regular contact with students to keep them on track and motivated
- Coordinate and collaborate with community partners and local agencies to connect students with resources and recruit new students
- Provide solution-based constructive feedback to students to help them reach their goals
- Assist with student registration and orientation procedures
- Support students as they transition to post-secondary and employment opportunities
- Establish and maintain relationships with local employers to create job positions specifically for program participants
- Maintain records: of student’s progress and participation using scheduled appointments, follow up calls, referrals, adult learning plans, and other items assigned by the AE Leader
- Assist in developing and promoting career and college preparation by facilitating group learning, guest speakers, and other activities/events

Days/Hours: Monday & Wednesday 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m./Tuesday & Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; 35 hours per week; School Calendar
