Title: Assistant Wrestling Coach
Job Location: Paw Paw Middle School
Reports To: Athletic Director
Job Type: 2024/2025 Season Contract
Minimum Qualifications:
· Must possess a High School diploma
· Extensive experience wrestling
· Strong organizational skills
· Must be able to work within a coordinated wrestling curriculum from youth to middle school level
· Strong personal and social skills with the ability to effectively communicate with middle school students
Preferences:
· Experience organizing/running practices
· Possesses knowledge of the MHSAA wrestling rules and regulations
· Willingness to build meaningful positive relationships with staff and student body
· Possesses the ability to motivate players and coaches to work toward program philosophies and goals
Job Description:
· Coordinate practice plans to build basic wrestling knowledge and age-appropriate skill sets
· Work within a program philosophy and curriculum that builds upon itself from grades 6‐12
· Be a productive and cohesive coach that works to develop all players from grades 6‐12
· Teach and instruct the sport of wrestling, while working to develop and emphasize positive
character traits in all athletes
Salary/Benefits: Per Letter of Agreement
