TITLE: Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) Associate Teacher for Positive Behavior Support
JOB LOCATION: Cedar Street Campus
REPORTS TO: Early Childhood Director
JOB TYPE: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associate degree in Early Childhood or Child Development OR
· Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required, or ability to comply within 3 years
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· CPR and First Aid certified
· Knowledgeable and experienced with State of Michigan Licensing requirements
· Knowledgeable and experienced in working with young children from diverse backgrounds and cultures
· Have skills and knowledge in Positive Behavior Support (PBIS) for young children
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Document behaviors in school database and generate behavior reports for teachers and parents
· Assist in the implementation of the daily program under the direction of the Lead Teacher, including recording observations and carrying out lessons and activities
· Supervise the classroom in the teacher’s presence and absence
· Assist with the general housekeeping, sanitizing, and food preparation tasks
· Attend all meetings and recommended training programs and professional development
· Maintain confidentiality about children and their families
· Supervise and participate in outdoor play
· Participate in in-home visits with the Lead Teacher upon request
· Work cooperatively with teachers, parents, and staff
· Perform other duties as determined by the director
SALARY/BENEFITS: $14.50 per hour based on the associates pay scale
DAYS/HOURS: 6 hours per day, Monday-Friday; 9:00 a.m.– 3:00 p.m.
