Title: Instructional Assistant Paraprofessional
Location: Later Elementary (Grades 3-5)
Reports to: Later Elementary Principal
Job Type: Full-time/Hourly/Non-Exempt
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma and;
· Associate Degree or;
· Completed ETS Parapro Assessment with a passing score of 460 or higher or;
· Completed WorkKeys Assessment with a passing score or;
· Completed Michigan Tests for Teacher Certification (MTTC) with a passing grade in relevant subject area(s)
Preferred Skills/Certifications:
· CPI Certification
· CPR/First Aid Certification
Essential Job Duties:
· Working primarily with individual/small groups of special education students, supporting them with reading and math instruction
· Supporting teachers with small group instruction in the classroom
· Additional duties as assigned
Salary/Benefits: Starting at $15.66/hour; commensurate with experience per PPESPA Agreement
Days/Hours: School Days/8:20 a.m. – 4:05 p.m. (includes a 30-minute unpaid break)
