Description
Provides direct patient care for the Pawhuska Family Medical Clinic

2. Prescribes and administers vaccinations to immunize patient from communicable diseases. |
|
3.Promotes health by advising patents about diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease. |
|
4. Analyzes reports and finding of test and examination, and diagnoses condition of patient. | |
5. Consults and refers patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patient’s well-being |
|
6. Must be covered under malpractice insurance either privately or through Pawhuska Hospital Inc. |
|
7. Performs all other associated duties as directed by the Chief of Staff or Administrator.

Position Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a Health care-related field
- Three (3) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- BLS, PALS and ACLS required upon hire certifications and the minimum ATLS Audits
- Demonstrates initiative, ability to work with others, and professional judgement
Education and/or Experience
- Ability to operate and handle many kinds of complex equipment.
- Ability to demonstrate clinical competence and maintain current knowledge in caring for pediatric through geriatric patients.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- **Required educational levels call for proof at time of hire.
- 2 years previous hospital experience preferred.
- Emergency Room experience required.
Licensure/Certification
- Current, unrestricted licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Oklahoma
- BLS, PALS and ACLS required upon hire certifications and the minimum ATLS Audits
- *Proof of all required License(s) and Certification(s) is due at time of hire.

- English is the primary language
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Ability to interpret and write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, physicians, clients, customers, employees, the board and the public.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute ratio, percent, rate, as well as the ability to create and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form.
- Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in statistical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
