Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are looking to fill a part time, long term Retail Sales Associate position. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers in finding the perfect products to meet their needs. You will play a key role in driving sales and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
• Utilize effective communication skills to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions accurately.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling practices.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and improve sales performance.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring merchandise is well-displayed.
• Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting inventory counts.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and provide exceptional service.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and performing retail math calculations.
• Ability to communicate effectively and politely with customers and team members.
• A passion for sales and a desire to help customers find the right products.
• Previous experience with food preparation and service is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
