Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide(s), who can be available on an as-needed basis, to support our classroom environment and assist in the educational development of our students. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to provide individualized attention to students, particularly those with diverse learning needs, including autism. This role is essential in fostering a positive learning atmosphere and ensuring that each child receives the attention they need to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
- Provide support to students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum.
- Facilitate classroom management by helping maintain a structured and nurturing environment.
- Engage with students during activities, encouraging participation and fostering social skills.
- Help with curriculum development by contributing ideas for age-appropriate learning materials.
- Support children in developing foundational skills in subjects such as math and literacy.
- Monitor student behavior and implement behavior management strategies as needed.
- Assist with toddler care and preschool activities, ensuring safety and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with teachers regarding student progress and any concerns.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in childcare, daycare, or educational settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with preschool curriculum development and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with students who have special needs or behavioral challenges is a plus.
- Knowledge of effective strategies for engaging toddlers and preschool-aged children in learning activities.
