Job Overview
As a Correctional Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within correctional facilities. Duties
- Monitor inmate activities to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility, including searches of inmates and their living quarters.
- Utilize CCTV systems to observe inmate behavior and maintain security.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, inmate behavior, and any violations of facility policies.
- Respond to emergencies, applying first aid or CPR as necessary.
- Engage in conflict management to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Maintain effective communication with fellow officers and other staff members.
- Participate in training programs related to law enforcement protocols and procedures.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications
- Familiarity with conflict management techniques is essential.
- Experience operating CCTV systems for surveillance purposes is a plus.
- A background in military service may be beneficial but is not required.
