What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Veterinarian position at Paws and Claws Affordable Veterinary Clinic?
Immediate opening for an enthusiastic associate veterinarian to join our three doctor practice, Paws and Claws Affordable Veterinary Clinic in Archdale, NC. We are a respected non-profit veterinary clinic experiencing rapid growth. We need an associate veterinarian to meet the demand for our much needed and valued services. We see the positive impact we are making in our community by working with rescues, shelters and private homes. We are seeking an individual who believes in our mission and wants a fun, casual and relaxed work atmosphere as part of our clinic family. The ideal candidate should be comfortable performing up to 10 sterilization procedures per day. We also offer dental cleanings and heartworm treatments to our patients.
A typical day at our clinic consists of spay/neuter, dental cleanings, and heartworm treatments in the morning followed by wellness exams and minor sick care such as ear infections in the afternoons. We offer a four-day work week for a great work-life balance. This is a GREAT opportunity to help people who need quality, affordable wellness care and low cost spay/neuter. We are NOT a high volume spay/neuter clinic. We have a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. We have an experienced and organized team to make surgery drop offs and wellness appointments flow as seamlessly as possible. Our clinic is beautiful with a brand-new state-of-the-art surgery suite.
We are located in the central part of beautiful North Carolina. We are an easy drive to any of major cities including Charlotte, Raleigh and Greensboro as well as the mountains and beaches.
Schedule:
~ 4-day work week
~ 8-hour shift
~ Day shift on NO NIGHTS or WEEKENDS

Responsibilities:
~ mentor associate wellness veterinarian
~ perform up to 10 spay/neuter surgeries daily
~ provide quality care for wellness exams and sick care such as ear infections, URI, etc.
~ manage client conversations with compassion and professionalism
~ perform compassionate and comfortable euthanasia
~ provide support and clear communication to veterinary support staff
Qualifications:
~ Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and license in good standing is required
~ 2 years of experience as a DVM is required
~ Spay/Neuter experience is required
