Part-Time Dog Valet Driver

Job Overview:

We are seeking reliable and professional Valet Drivers for dog pick-up and drop-off services within the Greenwich area. You will be provided with our valet vehicle to drive, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience for our clients. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for dogs and a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and privacy. It is imperative to be on time for each shift, as punctuality is crucial for our clients and their pets.

• Morning Shift: 7:30 AM - 9:30 AM
• Afternoon Shift: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Pay Rate: Flat rate of $80 per day (up to 4 hours).

Typically, 1-2 trips are required per shift for pick-ups and drop-offs within the Greenwich area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety is our top priority. Practice safe and cautious driving at all times, being mindful of road conditions, speed limits, and avoiding abrupt stops to ensure the comfort and safety of the dogs.
• Ensure all dogs are safely leashed and contained when entering or exiting the vehicle. Proper containment inside the vehicle is critical to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Adhere to set handling procedures to ensure smooth and safe transfers of dogs in and out of the vehicle.
• Follow specific instructions provided for pick-up and drop-off locations. These instructions are tailored to each client’s preferences and must be followed to maintain a consistent and reliable service.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of clients at all times.
• The valet vehicle must be kept clean and organized at all times. This includes cleaning up any dog messes that occur during trips.
• Check the vehicle daily to ensure it’s operating properly. Report any maintenance or cleanliness issues to management immediately.
• Drivers are responsible for ensuring the vehicle is washed regularly using the provided car wash membership.
• Communicate with management regarding schedules, last-minute changes, or client needs.

Work Schedule: excluding holidays (we do not offer valet services on weekends or holidays). Commitment to a 5-day workweek is required.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no prior arrests or major traffic violations).
• Experience driving professionally, with a strong preference for candidates who have handled similar responsibilities in pet care or client services.
• Comfortable handling, leashing, and containing dogs of all sizes and personalities (loading in and out of vehicles).
• Demonstrates professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
• Friendly and polished demeanor.
• Tech-savvy and able to use smartphone applications for booking and staff communications.
• Over 21 years of age.
• Must be drug-free
• Background check and reference(s) will be required

Compensation:

• $80 per day, based on 4-hour total shifts (2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon).
• Additional opportunities for extra hours and responsibilities may be available.
