Paws & Play Dog Resort & Training Center is looking for a teammate to join our family of dog enthusiasts specializing in caring for our canine guests. We are looking to hire someone with a love for dogs, a passion for knowledge and people who are ready to get down and dirty while having the most fun taking care of our guests.
We are a top-rated dog resort offering lodging, daycare, grooming, & training services to families throughout the Hoosier community. Our 26,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility caters to a dog’s every need - from a fun-filled vacation, to customized training programs, or a day at the spa. From the moment our guests arrive, we begin creating a memorable experience for the entire family. Because we are a local family owned & family centered business, we take the time to certify and specially train our team to ensure each guests’ stay is fun and comfortable.
We are looking to add a new Lodging Lead to our ever-growing family. Requirements:
Love for dogs
Desire to further education in the pet care field
At least 2 years prior experience in a lead position in a related field
Active and able to adjust to physical tasks and elements
Willing to work with team to accomplish the Paws & Play Mission & Core Values
Responsibilities:
Ensure pet wellness standards and customer expectations are met and exceeded
Delegate daily tasks to lodging team members for each shift
Accurately distribute daily medications
Accurately distribute food to each dog daily
Independently implement all Lodging Procedures & Policies per Lodging Handbook & Employee Manual
Complete The Dog Gurus: Communication Skills for Pet Care Professionals
Independently train all level 3 and below team members
Successfully use advanced collars, such as remote collars
Successfully handle dogs with injuries, handling needs or special instructions when applicable
Successfully implement all Day Care programs
Successfully implement all Arrival board, Group Play boards & Other Activities board
Successfully create safe & appropriate Play Groups
Successfully complete minor first aid treatment for humans and pets
Checking for Daily Task completion
Complete all personal tasks each shift
Adjust for call ins & lates and communicate each to management
Performing inventory checks when applicable
Leading shifts
Coach team through Emergency situations & protocol
Fill out & enter Incident Reports when applicable
Team member incident reports when applicable
Oversees and follows up with the training new hires
Sitting in on panel interview
Sitting in on panel review
Performing warnings & write ups with management approval
Handling employee conflict
Able to independently manage projects
