Veterinary Technician/Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technicians and Assistants to join our team immediately! The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services.

Responsibilities
Assist veterinarian(s) in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures; Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood counts; Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian; Handle and restrain animals during procedures; Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of patient information; Educate pet owners on animal care and treatment plans; Monitor and care for hospitalized animals; Daily and weekly cleaning tasks; and other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Certification or Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology (preferred but required); Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques (preferred but required); Knowledge of infection control protocols (preferred but required); Understanding of animal anatomy and common medical conditions (preferred but required); Familiarity with patient care or kennel operations is advantageous; Computer and technology proficient is definitely a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week

Experience:

• Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)
