Lead Kennel Tech or Building Coordinator (BC) is responsible for the care of boarding dogs, coordinating kennel techs, checking in and out clients, answering phones, general client care, cleaning, and making sure that the building gets opened and closed in a fast and efficient way.
In house training is available but a love of dogs is a must!

BCs must be able to work well with dogs—they need to know how to handle different breeds and temperaments, and they need to be comfortable interacting with a large number of dogs at once. They also need to have strong communication skills; they need to be able to clearly explain instructions to dog owners and effectively communicate with other staff members about any concerns they might have about an individual dog’s behavior.
Kennel Manager Job Duties
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kennel facility
- Ensure the well-being and safety of all animals in the kennel
- Coordinate and supervise a team of kennel staff
- Schedule and manage animal feeding, exercise, and medication administration
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kennel area
- Monitor and report any changes in animal behavior or health to Manager
- Assist with grooming and bathing of animals as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners and address any concerns or questions
-Answering phones and making reservations
-Communicating dog needs to clients
-Confirming reservations and calling grooming clients
-Checking in and checking out clients as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in animal care or a related field (e.g., veterinary technician, pet grooming)
- Strong knowledge of animal handling techniques and behavior
- Ability to lift heavy objects and animals (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
