Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during grooming procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area, including equipment sanitization and disposal of waste.
- Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any observed health issues.
- Provide advice on pet care, including coat maintenance, skin care, and general health tips.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends to provide the best service possible.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or pet grooming is required.
- Skills in dog handling, animal restraint, or veterinary assistance are highly valued.
- A background in kennel work or pet sitting can be beneficial for understanding animal behavior.
- Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus, enhancing your ability to manage various temperaments during grooming sessions.
