We are a busy, fast paced Dog Training Facility that is looking to add someone to our team!

This position requires patience and the ability to handle difficult behaviors in a gentle, but effective manner. Animal training and care is a lifestyle and a career, not just a job. Must be committed to the animals and the lifestyle it brings with it.
We do not require a professional certification or degree in dog training or animal behavior. We strongly prefer candidates with at least two years of experience (professional or volunteer) caring for animals, experience with horse training a plus. You must provide a detailed work history/resume.
Requirements:
· Must be comfortable working with all breeds of dogs and other small animals.
· There is an inherent risk when working with animals.
· The candidate should have a strong understanding of safety and time management
· Capable of working in an environment with traffic, the public, and barking · You may be exposed to solvents, disinfectants, sanitation chemicals, animal dander, saliva, urine, feces, animal teeth, and claws may contact hands, skin, and clothing.
· You have previous customer service experience and are capable of communicating with clients, and staff in both written and spoken English
· Must be able to handle instruction and implement the instructions
· You have the patience and empathy to work with puppies and other animals with special needs and requirements (medical and behavioral concerns)
· Working outdoors regardless of weather conditions. Consideration for candidates with evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
· The majority of tasks assigned will require you to walk or stand on your feet for several hours per day, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, walk up and down stairs; handle extra small and/or large dogs, and be able to lift up to 50lbs.
· You must be 18 years or older and legally allowed to work in the US
