The Pawtucket School Department is seeking an elementary school teacher. Under the direction of the school administrator, the classroom teacher will implement the educational curriculum. Exemplary Duties and Responsibilities: Plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for studentsProvides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of individuals to ensure Success for Every Student.Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goalsEstablishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and communicates these objectives to students and parentsPrepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisorMonitors and evaluates student outcomes. Develops, selects and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students Maintains appropriate records and follows required procedures and practicesMonitors appropriate use and care of equipment, materials and facilitiesParticipates in meetings, workshops and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.Prepares a wide variety of written materials for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying informationCommunicates and interacts with students, staff, parents and the communitySupervises students in a variety of school related settings.
