Summary
The Intake Coordinator plays a critical role in managing both patient intake and administrative tasks, ensuring that patients receive exceptional support and assistance throughout their healthcare journey.
This role requires experience in the behavioral health landscape, specifically in Toledo and Columbus, Ohio.
Training will be conducted virtually with our New Jersey based team.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments and respond to patient inquiries across multiple channels.
- Handle appointment requests and initiate communications to ensure timely care.
- Address patient needs, such as prescription refills, prior authorizations, and medical record transfers.
- Provide support to patients encountering issues with Telehealth or other technology platforms.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Monitor and respond to referrals through online platforms and faxes promptly.
- Coordinate discharge planning, ensuring appropriate follow-up care, referrals, and effective communication with relevant providers to support continuity of care.
- Other duties/tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in healthcare coordination and patient advocacy, with a strong preference for experience in mental health and behavioral health settings.
- Experience working within the behavioral health landscape of Toledo and Columbus is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to advocate for patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple patient cases and prioritize competing demands.
- Punctual, efficient, and empathetic, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
