We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Haitian Creole speaking Funeral Director to join our team. Duties
- Oversee all aspects of funeral services, including planning, directing, and coordinating arrangements for funerals and memorials.
- Provide bereavement support to families, offering guidance and resources during their time of loss.
- Prepare the deceased for viewing by performing necessary tasks such as sanitizing, cosmetology, and dressing.
- Conduct consultations with families to discuss their wishes and preferences for the service.
- Manage logistics for funeral services, including event planning and coordination with venues.
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations related to funeral services and the handling of remains.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and manage financial transactions associated with funerals.
- Collaborate with other professionals in the field, including medical examiners and cemetery staff.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential to perform necessary preparations on the deceased.
- Experience in cosmetology is preferred for preparing the deceased for viewing.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with grieving families and provide compassionate support.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting as part of preparing remains for services.
- Familiarity with event planning principles to ensure smooth execution of funeral services.
- Previous experience in funeral directing is highly desirable but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate.
