Funeral Director(Haitian Creole Speaking)

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Haitian Creole speaking Funeral Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the funeral service profession, demonstrating empathy and professionalism while guiding families through their bereavement journey. This role requires a blend of technical skills, customer service expertise, and emotional intelligence to provide exceptional support during a sensitive time.

Duties

• Oversee all aspects of funeral services, including planning, directing, and coordinating arrangements for funerals and memorials.
• Provide bereavement support to families, offering guidance and resources during their time of loss.
• Prepare the deceased for viewing by performing necessary tasks such as sanitizing, cosmetology, and dressing.
• Conduct consultations with families to discuss their wishes and preferences for the service.
• Manage logistics for funeral services, including event planning and coordination with venues.
• Ensure compliance with all legal regulations related to funeral services and the handling of remains.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and manage financial transactions associated with funerals.
• Collaborate with other professionals in the field, including medical examiners and cemetery staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential to perform necessary preparations on the deceased.
• Experience in cosmetology is preferred for preparing the deceased for viewing.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with grieving families and provide compassionate support.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting as part of preparing remains for services.
• Familiarity with event planning principles to ensure smooth execution of funeral services.
• Previous experience in funeral directing is highly desirable but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate.
• Understanding of bereavement support practices to assist families emotionally during their loss.
