JOB TYPE: Full Time

LOCATION: These positions will be on-site throughout California; no relocation assistance is available for this position.

COMPENSATION: $45 - $57 per hour/Non-Exempt 

POSITION SUMMARY: Our Certified Arborists will be responsible for assisting our client with conducting audits to assess completed work and facilities. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: (Disclaimer: The lists below are not all inclusive)

• Conduct audits on completed Vegetation Management work.
• Review audit samples as scheduled.
• Documents and communicate results and findings immediately upon completed assignment.
• Perform compliance and control testing, audits, or other validation processes and analyze risk or compliance metrics. 
• Respond to regulatory data requests and audits when requested.
• Returns incomplete records to originator or Supervisor for correction and ensures all records and findings are maintained for potential future audits.
• Directs internal inspection quality audit efforts.
• Verify reports, audit documentation, and validate content in database / risk register.

• Performs and oversees compliance and control testing, audits, or other validation processes and analyzes risk or compliance metrics.
• Participates in or may lead root cause analysis exercises.
• May respond to regulatory data requests, investigations, audits, and other inquiries.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

You must have the following: (Minimum)

• Authorized to work in the US and willingness to travel. 
• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of Job-Related experience.
• Certified Arborist through (ISA, ASCA or Certified or Degreed Forester)
• TRAQ Certified, ability to read and follow maps and work independently with minimal supervision. 

• Licensed, Registered and/or Certified in Vegetation Management, Forestry, or Arboriculture
• Two Years of experience and advanced knowledge in risk management or compliance concepts
• Strong organizational/time management skills
• Excellent communication both verbal and written with attention to detail.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance.
• Advanced knowledge of assigned areas of business including processes and procedures 
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.
• Advanced skills in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED Card is a PLUS but not required.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and to communicate effectively with employees and managers.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of Utility Vegetation Management
