Job Summary:
Our Maintenance Department Manager oversees the efficient operation of the department to ensure productivity and quality standards are met consistently.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee department operations and schedule work order assignments to achieve production goals
- Effectively manage team of skilled maintenance employees
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize departmental efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with other departments to support continuous improvement through OpEx project implementation
- Ensure compliance with equipment maintenance/calibration schedules, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Oversee the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety protocols
- Lead, coach, and motivate the maintenance team to improve performance and skill levels
- Provide ongoing training opportunities for staff to stay current with new technologies and maintenance practices
- Conduct performance reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members
-Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication
- Oversee and troubleshoot hands-on maintenance tasks, including equipment repairs and preventive maintenance on the floor as needed
- Order and source replacement parts, tools, and equipment from approved suppliers
- Establish Inventory system to Monitor stock levels and establish reorder points to avoid shortages
- Track KPIs related to maintenance efficiency, downtime, equipment performance, and team productivity
- Ensure maintenance team meets or exceeds established targets for preventative maintenance completion and repair response times
Requirements:
- 5 years' experience managing team of maintenance professionals in a manufacturing setting including performance reviews and administering discipline
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team
- Strong working knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong verbal/written English communication skills and ability to work with a diverse team
