Operations Analyst
Operations Analyst (OA)– Banking as a Service (BaaS) Fintech
The Operations Analyst plays a pivotal role on the Paybotic Financial Operations Team. This role is critical in delivering exceptional customer experience, enhancing operational flows and facilitating smooth communication between clients and internal teams. The Operations Analyst will collaborate closely with the Product Development, Support, Compliance, Sales and Underwriting teams to ensure operational efficiency. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer & Partner Support
· Serve as the liaison between customers, banking partners and internal teams to resolve escalated operational issues.
· Assist with onboarding new partners and clients, ensuring smooth integration into BaaS operations.
· Coordinate with sales and underwriting teams to collect and verify required documentation during onboarding, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
· Support the internal teams and clients with application and onboarding related inquiries.
Operational Efficiency & Process Management
· Support day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless execution of banking, payments and reconciliation processes.
· Analyze operational workflows and identify areas of process improvement and automation.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Compliance, Underwriting, Product and Engineering) to enhance operational efficiency and client experience.
Transaction & Payment Operations
· Oversee payment processing (ACH, wire transfers, card transactions, real-time payments) and assist the support team in resolving exceptions.
· Investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies, working closely with banking partners and internal teams.
· Assist in reconciling financial transactions and ensure accuracy in reporting.
Risk & Compliance Support
· Support compliance with regulatory requirements, including KYC, KYB, AML, fraud prevention and data security.
· Assist in audits and regulatory reporting by preparing operational data and documentation.
· Provide analytical support for client inquiries related to banking services, payments and account operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in client services, account management, or a related field, preferably in financial services, fintech, or BaaS.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and independent decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with financial regulations (e.g., KYC, KYB, AML, BSA, NACHA rules) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools.
Preferred
- Experience in a BaaS, fintech, or payments company.
- Knowledge of API-driven banking solutions and embedded finance.
- Experience working with third-party banking partners, payment networks, or core banking systems.
