Overview :
Responsible for managing employment practices liability insurance (EPLI) claims and litigation for a large, national professional employer organization (PEO).
Responsibilities :
- Oversee outside counsel defending employment claims filed with agencies and in court throughout the United States, including managing budgets, reviewing and approving invoices, and contributing to and approving strategy, pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement.
- Interface with carrier including with respect to coverage issues, assignment of counsel, and settlement authority.
- Maintain reporting and provide analysis on performance of EPLI program.
- Provide legal support and advice to non-attorney EPLI staff.
- Train and otherwise interface with internal and external stakeholders to increase effectiveness of EPLI program.
- Stay current with legal and industry developments relating to employment laws and litigation trends across the country.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $105,763 - $166,200 RSU's. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and / or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
