Responsibilities Include
· Determine individual risk acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms and conditions
· Ensure underwriting files are complete
· Secure appropriate reinsurance on individual accounts when needed
· Mentor and train underwriting assistants
· Develop successful business relationships with agents and reinsurers
Qualifications
· 3 years of commercial underwriting experience
· Property & General Liability Insurance experience
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
· Ability to work independently and make sound judgments
· Ability to provide excellent customer service and develop strong relationships
