Paychex North America Inc. seeks a full time Software Test Automation Engineer at our offices located at 2700 Patriot Blvd., Suite 300, Glenview, IL 60025

Job Title : Software Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities :

Job Duties : P erform software coding and implementation tasks related to building Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) service regression, test harness, automated test scripts and internal IT tools to improve software quality and reduce the test time needed in software releases for Payroll Solutions.

Duties include :

Design, Develop and maintain Test Harnesses and frameworks for Test Automation, Mobile Testing, Multi-browser Testing and API Test and Performance Testing using JAVA, Selenium, JMeter, Postman, Rest Assured, Kubernetes, Jira, and Azure DevOps.

• Strong knowledge integration of Jenkins, Jira and Bitbucket and Agile methodologies.
• Design, develop and maintain visualization dashboards for higher management using Grafana, Inflex database, Graphite, Prometheus, and Docker for Testing Status.
• Expert level knowledge in Test Data Management and relational and No SQL DBs and SQL queries.
• Experience in triaging the production issues using Monitoring tools and logging tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, Extrahop and IP monitor.
• Expert level knowledge in Payroll domain, Zuora Billing module and Vertex systems and strong understanding on Federal, State, and local Taxes & Compliance scenarios.
• Experience in Production Support on Tax Sensitive issues and work with Stake holders, and Architects on root cause analysis.

Qualifications :

Position Requirements :

Bachelors degree (or foreign degree equiv.) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related technical engineering field, plus 5 years of experience in any software test automation role.

Experience, which may be gained concurrently, must include :

5 years of experience with designing Test strategies and complex test scenarios for Payroll, Billing, Tax & Compliance domain and using Zuora and Vertex systems.

May telecommute, but must be in Glenview, IL office 2-3 days a week.

Salary : $115,461 - $135,461 per year.

Compensation :

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $$115,461 - $135,461 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and / or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
