Responsibilities
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $76,790 - $120,670. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.

Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist Product Owner in defining Minimal Viable Product (MVP) and project scope.
- Gather and define existing and desired business behavior and customer needs from internal and external stakeholders, users, and subject matter experts
- Translate identified business needs and behaviors into stories with acceptance criteria to meet definition of ready for the agile team
- Create and maintain business processes workflows creating multiple workflows for different user personas as needed.
- Decompose information from multiple sources and assist Product Owner to gain acceptance from all stakeholders on proposed business solution
- Understand and assist Product Owner to control scope throughout delivery
- Align product strategy to proposed business solutions resolving conflicts to define an acceptable MVP
- Incorporate control partner requirements (e.g. Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc.) to satisfy the needs of the product throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Partner with Product Owner to ensure readiness of Product Backlog for current and future sprints.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as Iteration/Release Planning, Backlog Refinement, Retrospection, Sprint Review, and Daily Stand-up.
- Provide subject matter proficiency in specific functional areas, including user behavior and customer experience
- Participate in user acceptance testing and participate in production support to assist with expected system behavior.
- Take on multiple projects simultaneously as needed.
- Develop and test new analytical policies, standards, practices, and tools to improve the analysis process.
- Identify of ways to reuse documented business solutions/user stories across projects to promote efficiency ad consistency.
- Demonstrate flexibility in crossing domains and working on disparate projects/product areas.
- Demonstrate ability to drive complex, cross-domains and working on disparate projects/product areas.
- Mentor and coach less experienced Business Analysts.
- Complete other strategic research requests as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in or equivalent experience - Required
- 3 years of experience in Business Analyst / Product Owner.
- 6 years of experience in Business unit experience, or other experience resulting in subject matter expertise in domain; previous experience working in Agile or similar methodology; writing client facing documentation and/or user stories/acceptance criteria.
