Provide day-to-day support to the organization's end user desktop computers, printers, phones, mobile devices, and software. Assist in maintaining Desktop Administration related servers and researches new technologies for solutions to existing and future issues. This position interfaces directly with internal customers and various departments, troubleshooting user issues to resolution. Other areas of responsibility include but are not limited to assisting other IT departments with various tasks, providing Time and Attendance support to external customers as needed, and support of Audio / Visual equipment such as projectors and sound systems.RESPONSIBILITIESDesktop AdministrationProvide support for Windows workstations, various peripherals, and VOIP phonesPerform hardware and software installation, upgrades and configurationAdhere to company procedures for hardware / software requests and installsProvide problem diagnosis and resolution for hardware and software problemsInstall all peripheral components such as printers, scanners, phones and disk drivesAnswer inbound technical support calls and emailsProvide telephone, in-person, and remote support to end-usersCoordinate activities with other departments as neededSupport corporate owned mobile devicesTroubleshooting of LAN / WAN connectivity issuesProvide accurate and timely logging of problemsEscalate issues as neededWork with vendor, software provider, and manufacturer support as neededMonitor ticketing system and complete tickets in a timely mannerImage new and existing desktop systemsCreate new images and update current imagesMaintain proper inventory of all desktop related assetsProvide updates, status information, and completion information to manager and / or users as neededSupport corporate audio / visual equipmentTravel between remote sites to perform assigned dutiesAssist in the maintenance of Desktop Administration related servers and appliancesMaintain inventory of software and ensure software license complianceResearch new technologies to solve existing and future user issuesAssist in maintaining appropriate equipment levels for demandDocumentationDocuments specific duties, activities, problems solved and issues resolvedAssists in the documentation of the network as it relates to Desktop AdministrationProvides and updates training documentationMiscellaneousAttends meetings and serves on committees, as requestedPerforms additional duties and assignments as requestedMust be very security conscious and do all it takes to avoid sensitive data falling into wrong handsAbility to effectively handle stress, pressures, and challengesQualificationsEducation / Certification : Bachelor DegreeExperience : 1 years of Desktop AdministrationSkills / Abilities : Knowledge of : Computer, network operations and maintenanceLAN / WANsMicrosoft Windows XP / 7 / 10 Operating SystemsMicrosoft Server 2003 / 2008 / 2012 Operating SystemsEvaluate critical systems, prioritize workflow and determine solutionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsInterpret and apply laws, regulations and policiesProvide technical assistance for computer problemsRead and understand technical manualsWork for extended time at keyboard / terminalMaintain effective working relationships with supervisor and coworkersWork flexible hours, including weekends and eveningsAdditional Requirement(s) : Due to the nature of this position and the need for employees in this position to either work an on-call schedule or be on site within a short period of time, the successful applicant must live within 45-miles of the posted office location.Paycom is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
