What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Clerk position at Payette County Clerk's Office?
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs a variety of routine and complex clerical tasks, process passports, issue a variety of county licenses, numerous election duties, filing cases brought before the court, accept payments and perform clerical duties for the Clerk’s office.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Will be trained primarily by deputy clerks.
NECESSARY SKILLS: The ability to accurately perform multiple detailed tasks in a fast-paced environment which will include: typing; working in a professional manner with the public, voters, law enforcement and other personnel interdependent with the clerk’s office; receive and accurately account for money; answering the telephone, computer data entry; and all other duties assigned by supervisors. Must be able to maintain high degree of confidentiality and ethical standards.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May be required to lift or move up to 25 pounds; Work is performed primarily in an office environment; Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, to permit the employee to function in a general office environment and accomplish tasks.
TASKS: The tasks are not limited to but include a variety of physical activities, occasionally involving muscular activity, such as lifting, and bending. Attention to detail, ability to problem solve and multi-task.
WAGES: $17.00 per hour, or more DOE.
