Payette School District has the following opening for the 2025-26 school year :
CTE / Construction Trades Teacher – Payette High School
The candidate must be able to provide instruction and course / program management at the high school level in residential and commercial construction areas.
Must have a strong desire and motivation to develop and grow a construction trade program and can serve as a motivated career and technical student organization (CTSO) advisor and help grow the CTSO program. This would include career development events, leadership development events, supervised work experience, officer training, community service events, fundraising, working with an advisory board, and other chapter activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Idaho teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement(s) or an Occupational Specialist / Limited Occupational certification. Candidates interested in obtaining a certificate can contact the Payette School District office at 208-642-9366 to discuss non-traditional routes.
- Strong background in teaching methods, developmentally appropriate classroom activities, and effective classroom management
- Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter and effective teaching methods
- Strong background in curriculum and the Idaho Core Standards
- Strong background in the integration of technology with instruction
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Work well with students, staff, and the public
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work under deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality of staff and students

JOB SUMMARY
To provide students with a daily and ongoing instructional program to give them the best possible academic knowledge and skills. Promote educational, social, and citizenship development through leadership and classroom supervision.

EVALUATION
The building principal will evaluate the performance of this position annually in accordance with district policy and IDAPA 08.02.02.120.
COMPENSATION
Salary is based on experience and skills. The position qualifies for benefits that include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, PERSI retirement, and access to optional ancillary insurance and retirement products.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This position shall be considered “employment at will” in all respects. The “employment period” and other descriptions and terms outlined in this job description shall not create a property right for the employee.
