What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tow Truck Operator position at Payless Towing?
While we'd love drivers with experience, we're always willing to train the right individuals. Non-CDL and CDL positions are available- light duty, medium duty.
Responsibilities:
- Perform emergency road service, towing, accident recovery, abandoned vehicle recovery, and private property tow aways.
- Able to use special tools such as Winch, Skates, Chains, etc.
- Communicate effectively and clearly with management.
- Be able to be productive including down time.
- Must be able to complete truck inspection and checkoff list.
Candidate Requirements:
- Each driver must undergoes background checks and random drug testing.
- Applicants must pass extensive training.
- Must have valid drivers license.
- Solid sense of direction and ability to navigate cities.
- Schedule flexibility is a must- some holidays and weekends may be needed.
- Eagerness to learn and experience new things.
- Mechanical knowledge (not required).
- Prompt and reliable.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete paperwork.

- Morning
- Swing Shifts
- Graveyard
- Weekends
