General Job Description –Food Server
Reports To: Assistant Mgr. & Supervisor
These are basic job functions for the position of Food Server. The duties and responsibilities of this position are not limited to the contents listed. It is impossible to list every duty, responsibility, policy etc. This is intended to be a guide for the position.
Essentially, the position consists of all duties that would affect customer satisfaction except for duties related to: Dishwasher, Cook, or Supervisor.
These are basic job functions for the position of food server. The duties and responsibilities of this position are not limited to the contents listed, as it is impossible to list every duty, responsibility, policy etc.
1. Completes all established set-up duties on time
2. Server all guests according to established standards of quality
3. Makes use of all merchandising techniques
4. Greet and wait on customers
5. Adhere to all Food & Beverage policies, especially liquor laws
6. ID all patrons for all sales of alcohol, ask for 2 forms of ID if you have any doubts
7. Handle sales transactions according to policy
8. Know all the items for sale and be able to describe them
9. Know the hours of operation for the Café and Lounge
10. Perform host/hostess duties in the absence of H/H
11. Perform side work during your shift
12. Perform side work at the end of your shift
13. Communicate all issues, problems to management ASAP
14. Pick up and discard any debris that is considered trash
15. Make sure that your section has the proper chair & table appearance
16. Assist others when needed, especially delivering food
17. Adhere to all policies whether verbal or written
18. Must carry all applicable work cards while working
19. Relay all compliments & complaints to supervisors
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
