Position Summary:
This is an in office position located in Fredericksburg, VA
The Driver Recruiter is responsible for attracting qualified truck driver and non-truck driver applicants by managing, training, and monitoring the regional recruiting initiatives. Activities include: coordinating advertising, recruiting strategies by market, maintaining applicant pipeline, screening and interviewing candidates, contributing to hiring/leasing decisions, and closing the applicant. Additional responsibilities include regional retention and turnover accountability, training, coaching, and mentoring operation personnel on the hiring, recruitment and retention processes.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by Management.
- Develop recruiting strategies that work in each Market to successfully onboard drivers on demand.
- Manage recruiting initiatives by Market to develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified applicants.
- Develop recruiting strategies to increase driver application pool.
- Monitor On-Boarding Trends by Market to better understand and improve recruiting strategies.
- Utilize social media platforms and other search engines to generate leads and applications.
- Ensure that every applicant has a positive recruitment experience.
- Maintain a strong relationship with operations ensuring communication and consistent implementation of recruiting initiatives.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement within the recruitment process.
- Work directly with the Safety Team to influence and ensure execution of the process and drive results.
- Promotes the company culture.
Advertising and Events
- The Driver Recruiter will identify advertising avenues to target new drivers and non-driver positions.
- Attends local and national recruiting events to build applicant volume and increase network.
Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Able to handle multiple tasks in a high-profile and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to motivate individuals to achieve results and work as a team.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and related software (Tenstreet).
- Able to adapt to a variety of personalities as it relates to drivers.
Education and Experience:
- High School or GED.
- Minimum 1 Years of Experience Recruiting Truck Drivers.
- Experience in Transportation Industry preferred.
- Must be dependable and able to work independently.
