The Financial Services team is part of the SMB & Financial Services organization and is responsible for PayPal’s global financial services. Our financial services play a critical role in our customers’ lives and our broader ecosystem. Over 400M consumers and 30M merchants globally have access to our money management, credit & lending, credit card, debit card, and pay later products, which provide them with convenient, flexible, secure and rewarding ways to borrow, save, and spend.
Job Description :
As the Director, Product Management for Platform Solutions, you will be responsible for creating the product vision, strategy, and objectives and driving the execution of PayPal’s Credit Platform, part of the Financial Services team. You will work closely with our financial services product teams, design, engineering, program management, data, capital markets, finance, credit, risk, and legal teams, among other teams, to create a product roadmap and build the features and capabilities to enable us to extend credit to both consumers and businesses. You will also be responsible for overseeing the company’s collateral tool, which enables us to sell and securitize loans to investors as well as our collections product offering. This position is a key manager role on our financial services team within SMB / FS. You will manage the platform solutions team and oversee a team of 4 individual contributors to start but will need to be prepared to scale and take on more, as we introduce new credit products, grow our customer and investor base, and expand our loan volumes. Your work is critical to PayPal underwriting and monetizing its loans effectively and to keeping PayPal highly compliant in all the countries where we operate.
In your day to day, you will :
- Collaborate with our credit product teams, credit team, risk team and legal team to evaluate and prioritize new opportunities, manage request intake and feature scoping.
- Define requirements for our revolving credit products, including our Cash Back Mastercard (CBMC) and PayPal Credit (PPC) as well as our closed end term products, including Global Pay Later (GPL) and Global Merchant Lending (GML).
- Collaborate with other product managers, engineering, design, program management, data, capital markets, legal and other cross-functional stakeholders to build out and execute a product roadmap.
- Participate in agile ceremonies to drive the execution and launch of new features, capabilities and experiments.
- Leverage A / B Testing, analytics, market research, usability studies, and competitive analysis to drive decision making and iteration.
- Meet with prospective and existing customers (investors) to understand their requirements as well as needs when buying loans from PayPal.
