Job Description Summary: What you need to know about the role- The Fraud Incident Responder is responsible for complex data analysis in support of fraud incident management and FIRM’s broader program. Requiring familiarity with data-driven investigations and cyber-enabled financial crime, as well as proficiency in BigQuery/SQL and practical expertise in data mining and database technologies, the role will include managing numerous priorities under pressure while working closely with FIRM’s Incident Managers, Legal, Regulatory Relations, and leaders across the organization. Meet our team- Fraud Incident Response & Management (FIRM) is a function in Global Investigations’ Fraud & Insider Defense (FIND) organization. FIRM is responsible for coordinating the Company’s response to fraud attacks and events, driving mitigation, and conducting the requisite data analysis to determine the depth and breadth of fraud events and support potential disclosure requirements.

Mitigate risk to PayPal and its subsidiaries by leveraging data science and analytics to support complex fraud incidents in partnership with investigations professionals and other stakeholders across the enterprise.
Understand financially motivated cybercrime trends and typologies.
Demonstrate a capacity for innovation and outside-the-box thinking in the creation of new capabilities and processes that are unstructured or exploratory in nature.
Develop effective cross-organization relationships, collaborate, and communicate with stakeholders across multiple geographies
Your day to day
In your day to day role you will...
Drive analyses and investigations to a timely conclusion across multiple platforms and jurisdictions.
Identify complex fraud patterns and their technical root causes through detailed data mining and analysis, including identification of sophisticated fraud methods employed by actors who are deliberately trying to avoid detection.
Connect data between platforms to track disparate fraud signals and develop a holistic view of fraud trends across PayPal’s adjacencies.
Collaborate with organization leaders on developing KPIs and KRIs to measure the health and impact of the program. Expand upon investigative fraud stories by developing statistics and data visualizations to quantify and broadly assess the impact of common root causes on the platform.
What do you need to bring
Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field preferred.
Proficient in BigQuery and SQL required.
Experience in one or more major programming languages (Python, Java, etc.) preferred.
Experience in Tableau preferred.
Experience in Hadoop/Hive a plus.
Salary : $73,000 - $176,000
