Description
- Works one or more kitchen stations, including grill, broil, starters, salad and prep
- Assist in keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and hygienic, at all times
- Prepare, cook and present food quickly and efficiently to meet established standards
- Keep up to date with current promotions, wine & beer dinners, and catering events
- Manages wastage through correct product measurement
- Always adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Be involved and contribute at team meetings once a week.
- Carry out instructions given by the management team even when management team is not present.
- Maintain professional knowledge by completing in-house training courses and continuing education opportunities.

Requirements
- Culinary background or one year with The Met.
- Understanding of food safety, equipment safety and sanitation regulations and within 3 months of employment you must become ServSafe Food Handler Certified.
- Physical requirements: standing, reaching, lifting, and bending for sometimes up to 12 hours a day.
- Works well under pressure (communicates and completes tasks)
- Time management skills (must be able to prep quickly and delivery food quickly)
- Ability to follow direction, work on a team and respect co-workers
- Clear communication skills
- Work mornings, evenings, late nights.
