Position Summary:
Payroll Direct is seeking a Dedicated Payroll Account Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for processing customer payrolls in a successful, timely and accurate manner as well as providing software support to clients for payroll, timekeeping, HR, On-Boarding and scheduling systems. The ideal candidate for this position has strong customer service, payroll and computer skills. A large part of your job will be to respond to customer inquiries and requests, as well as to maintain accurate customer and employee information in our Payroll, HR and Timekeeping systems. The ability to provide timely and professional responses to customer inquiries is a critical component of this postion. You will be managing a large group of clients, so the ability to multi-task and organize tasks is extremely important.
The position will require that you be in the office for the first month or two for in-person training, and after that we offer a hybrid work environment that allows you to work remotely if you choose to do so, only needing to be in the office a day or two each month.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to client payroll inquiries
- Accurately enter payroll adjustments and corrections
- Manage schedule of client payrolls to ensure payrolls are processed in a timely and accurate manner
- Provide software support of payroll, HR and Timekeeping systems for clients
- Maintain accurate payroll, HR and Time & Attendance data
- Ensure that Applicable Large Employers properly follow ACA (Affordable Care Act) insurance tracking procedures
- Set up Levies, Garnishments and other formula-based deductions
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable federal and state wage and tax laws
- Create adhoc reports as requested by clients and management
- Collaborate with the Implementation and Tax teams
- Consult with clients about ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their payroll processes
- Other assignments or special projects as needed
Skills:
- Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
- Excellent understanding of multi-state payroll and taxes
- Associates degree or greater, or equivalent payroll industry experience
- Experience in the payroll industry working for companies like Paychex or ADP a plus
- Familiarity with payroll/HR software and MS Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
- A keen eye for detail
- An analytical mind and good math skills
- Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines
