Position Overview
Paysafe is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Public Relations Specialist to support our global Public Relations team. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic team player with strong organizational skills, a passion for storytelling, and an ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in media relations, content development, social media, industry awards, and PR operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of the PR department, including media relations outreach, content development, and strategic communications.
- Support media relations efforts by maintaining press lists, tracking media coverage, and assisting in drafting press releases, pitches, and talking points.
- Facilitate vendor onboarding and manage PR-related invoice processing, ensuring timely payments and budget tracking.
- Coordinate and manage industry awards submissions, including researching relevant opportunities, gathering supporting materials, and submitting applications.
- Assist in the creation of PowerPoint presentations for internal and external communications, including executive briefings and media-facing decks.
- Provide social media support by drafting and scheduling content, monitoring engagement, and identifying opportunities for brand amplification.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of PR messaging across all marketing and corporate communications.
- Monitor industry trends, competitors, and emerging media opportunities to support strategic PR initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, required or experience in lieu of a degree.
- 2 years of experience in PR, communications, or marketing, required. Experience within a corporate or agency environment, preferred.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
- Experience with media relations tools such as Meltwater, Cision, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
- Passion for the fintech and payments industry is a plus.
