Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct rehabilitation care in speech therapy to patients upon physician referral, adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:
- A graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP).
- ASHA certified (CCCs) or eligible for a 9-month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) to earn ASHA certification (CCCs) and/or meet ASHA credentialing criteria.
- Currently registered/licensed in the applicable State, with an active license maintained throughout employment.
Specific Job Requirements:
- Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Liaisons with patients, families, support departments, etc., to plan for patient needs.
Essential Functions:
- Establishes, assesses, and modifies realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals.
- Charts appropriately and timely.
- Exhibits excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
