Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and materials, with a focus on both industrial and construction painting. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and proficiency with hand tools. The Painter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes on various surfaces, including stucco, plaster, and wood.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary.
- Apply paint using various techniques including airless paint spraying and brush/roller methods.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the appropriate materials and techniques for each project.
- Work with stucco and plaster finishes to achieve desired aesthetics.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Assist in estimating material requirements for upcoming projects based on blueprints and specifications.
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial painting or construction painting is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools and equipment used in painting applications.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans effectively.
- Experience in frame carpentry is a plus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is advantageous.
