About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Senior Automation Engineer to play a key role in shaping our automation and testing strategy, ensuring high-quality products through close collaboration with our engineering and product teams.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust automation frameworks, enhancing our CI/CD pipelines, and utilizing tools like Playwright and Postman to drive test coverage and reliability. You’ll help define and champion QA best practices while contributing to a product that improves access to healthcare for all Americans.
In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to understand requirements, create effective test plans, and proactively identify areas for quality improvement throughout the development lifecycle.
This position is based in our San Francisco headquarters.
\n- 7 years of hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks.
- Proven track record of leading the transition from manual to automated testing by implementing scalable frameworks for UI, API, and service-level testing using tools like Selenium, Cypress, and WebdriverIO.
- Strong experience with API testing and validation using tools such as Postman, Swagger, and Charles Proxy.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), with active involvement from requirements gathering through to deployment and release.
- Comfortable working in microservices and API-driven environments, with hands-on exposure to technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, JavaScript, Node.js, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Proficient in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and CircleCI; experienced in using observability tools like Sentry, Datadog, and New Relic to monitor and improve test coverage and reliability.
- Strong analytical and QA process skills, including writing and managing test cases using tools such as TestRail or Xray across web, mobile, and backend systems.
- Collaborative and cross-functional mindset with the ability to work closely with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to establish quality gates, define clear requirements, and ensure timely, high-quality releases.
