Position Overview: We are seeking a caring, responsible, and energetic after-school nanny to provide a safe and nurturing environment for 3 children!
About the Kids:
The 7 year old boy is a sweet, caring second grader. He is enrolled in his school's dual language program, so he has school daily in both English and Spanish. He likes building things/taking things apart, helping with baking or cooking, riding his bike, and playing with his sister. He also likes to ski, play basketball, and do martial arts. He has a strong vocabulary and a big imagination--he likes to make new things from discarded elements (cardboard boxes, etc.) and thinks outside the box when it comes to how he plays with his toys. He loves holidays and likes to be part of the action when Mommy decorates or otherwise prepares for holidays.
The 5 year old girl is a silly, energetic child. She LOVES to color and dance. She goes to preschool five days a week and loves all her friends there. She is precocious kid with lots of energy and opinions. She is very sweet and loves anything related to princesses or Taylor Swift.
The 10 month old girl is a sweet, mellow baby who likes to watch her busy siblings and is getting interested in crawling. She sleeps through the night and is a good eater, and is generally a very easy baby. She is enrolled in full time daycare and seems very happy there.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage children in fun activities after school.
- Prepare and serve healthy snacks and meals.
- Assist with homework and provide support for school projects.
- Organize and lead recreational activities, including arts and crafts, outdoor play, and games.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents about daily activities and any concerns.
- Transport children to and from activities, if needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a nanny or in a childcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive, engaging atmosphere for children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (if applicable).
- Background check clearance.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
