Job Summary
We are the Pb J Collective and we help families to find the Nanny who is the peanut butter to their jelly! We are currently looking for experienced Nannies who are looking for Part-time, long-term and short term positions.
Most of our positions are in the Reno area, but we do also serve the Tahoe and surrounding areas well!
We are looking for candidates who are warm, engaging, nurturing, responsible, reliable, loving, fun, creative, and energetic to come join our team of Nannies! We have over 102 nannies that currently work through our agency, and have built a great reputation with families in our community! We are former Nannies ourselves, with over 15 years of experience. We truly understand what it means to advocate for you!
At Pb J Collective we believe in really being a support to our Nannies, and help both sides equally in this process. We are proud APNA and INA members and follow industry standards. We are also proud members of the BBB.
We encourage our families to:

We currently need candidates with newborn-toddler age experience primarily.
All interested applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:
- Must have at least 2 years of professional experience working with children in a relatable field.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must enjoy working with children!
- Must have Child/Infant CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to becoming certified
- Must be willing to submit to our screening process which includes Background Checks, Social Media Screening, Drug-testing, and Driving Record Check (we cover these costs!)
- Must have reliable transportation that you feel comfortable transporting someone else’s children in.
- No additional children permitted to join you on your job
- Must be comfortable with pets (cats and dogs)
- Current on vaccinations. Covid vaccinated and boosted candidates preferred (All families differ on their preferences for vaccines).

Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks while accommodating dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for the children, including tidying up play areas and meal spaces.
- Provide care for infants, including diaper changes, feeding, and soothing as needed.
- Educate children through structured activities such as reading, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.
- Assist with homework and educational projects for older children.
- Ensure the safety of the children at all times, implementing first aid when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, milestones, and any concerns.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare or caregiving is preferred.
- Knowledge of infant care practices is essential.
- Ability to prepare healthy meals suitable for children.
- Familiarity with preschool education principles is a plus.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required (we will get you certified!).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children and parents alike.
- A patient, nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for working with children of all ages.
