Superintendent

The Role

As a Superintendent you will report to the Director of Field Operations and will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring our roofing projects run smoothly while keeping close track on the various job progress. The Superintendent will also be responsible for directing and mentoring subcontractors and other on-site field staff. This position requires a strong business management acumen, driven professionalism and a great level of leadership whilst maintaining attention to detail, time management and effective communication skills.

What You’ll Do/Essential Functions:

• As a Superintendent, you will be required to travel extensively and must be able to do overnight stays.
• Coordinate subcontractors to lead safe and efficient roofing system installations
• You should also ensure subcontractors are qualified to do the scope of work
• Visit job sites daily or regularly.
• Conduct or participate in daily safety audits
• Maintain a strong understanding of contract information for various projects
• Responsible for providing ongoing feedback to Project Manager and the Director of Field Operations.
• Monitoring material usage, reporting any depletion that needs to be replenished ahead of time, in efforts to mitigate delays in project completion.
• Managing and coordinating job details of projects between the field and office and reporting any major issues that needs to be escalated to the Director of Field Operations.
• Investigate, document as well as assess and report any accidents, theft or safety breaches to the Director of Field Operations.
• Document and record all important communication with the General Contractor (GC).
• Collaborate with internal staff, consultants, subcontractors and clients to ensure that all work proceeds efficiently and meets client expectations, schedules and quality standards.
• You will be expected to monitor multiple projects at various stages until final completion under the supervision of the Director of Field Operations.
• Required to perform other duties as needed.

Education & Experience Required:

• Some College, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
• Roofing Construction and/or Construction Management: 1- 3 years’ experience

License/Certification

• Driver’s license (Required)

Technical / Organizational Skills:

• Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to adapt and utilize various project management programs and customer portals.
• Candidate must be detail oriented and have good organizational skills
• Must be willing to adapt and take on challenges
• Ability to promote and apply company core values
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and technical data
• Candidate shall have the ability to multitask and independently follow up on open tasks
• Must have great work ethic, time management and communication skills

Physical Demands:

• Must be willing to travel extensively and do overnights.
• Be able to climb stairs and ladders.
• Be able to sit at a desk or walk for extended periods of time
• Be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
