About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified VPK Lead Teacher to join our team in Amore-Sorrento. As a VPK Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing learning environment for our young students. You will be responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. You will also be responsible for maintaining open communication with parents and other staff members to ensure the success of each child.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Florida VPK Lead Teacher Certification
- A Valid/Active Florida Staff Credential
- At least 1 year of experience working with young children in a classroom setting
- Ability to successfully work in a team environment
- Have well developed supervision skills
- Basic knowledge of DCF Rules and Regulation
- Have a passion to work with young children
- Have the desire and motivation for self development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience working with diverse populations of children and families
- Knowledge of Frog Street Curriculum
- Knowledge of Conscious Discipline
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child
- Maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment for our young students
- Maintain open communication with parents and other staff members to ensure the success of each child
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each child's progress
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
Skills:
As a VPK Lead Teacher, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with parents and other staff members. You will also need to have strong organizational and time management skills to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities. Additionally, you will need to have a strong understanding of child development and be able to adapt activities to meet the individual needs of each child.
