What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scan Tech position at pb2 architecture + engineering?
As a pb2 Scan Tech, you will be part of a team that provides and processes scans using multiple reality capture technologies for retail, grocery, convenience stores, fuel stations and commercial buildings. You will travel to locations across the USA, prepare written reports, process scan data and coordinate with internal architecture and engineering design teams. This is a salaried, full time position working in our office based in beautiful Northwest Arkansas; this position is not suited for remote work.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Work Visa Sponsorship will not be provided
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass a driving record check
· Ability to travel two to three times per month, possibly weekly when necessary
· Leica, NavVis, Faro, Trimble or Matterport lidar experience is a plus
· BIM, Revit, AutoCAD knowledge is a plus
· Current FAA certified drone pilot license is a plus
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
· Responsible for all equipment when traveling
· Ensure equipment is charged and ready to operate on site
· Perform complete and accurate scans that document existing conditions of interior and exterior spaces
· Scan registration, point cloud QC and exporting, and troubleshooting problem scans as needed
· Strong work ethic and ability to work independently while traveling
· Availability to travel for several weeks in a row if needed

Work Schedule/Hours:
Monday –Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, one hour lunch from 12:00 – 1:00 PM. Hours greater than 40 per week will be required during travel weeks.
Physical Activity Level:
Position requires lifting and carrying moderately heavy equipment (50lbs ), placing and climbing ladders, walking up and down stairs and occasionally scanning crawl spaces and enclosed ceilings. Must have ability to stand and walk for long periods of time over varied surfaces.
