What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Operator position at PB2 Foods?
Summary/Objective
The Process Operator will act as the main operator resource in the manufacture of various peanut products. This individual is expected to become an expert in all functions of the RBGP process and will operate machinery, document process data, and provide training to others. The LPO will lead by example, ensuring all safety and quality standards are met while meeting department and company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- · Complies with all GMP, food safety, and safety standards.
- · Operates designated machines including basic functional knowledge, safety protocols, cleaning and sanitation, and operator level PMs.
- · Collects samples, process data, production records, and other documentation requirements for monitoring and maintaining quality, food safety, and production efficiency.
- · Monitors proper function of machines, reviews process data, and makes/oversees parameter adjustments to maintain adherence to product specifications.
- · Performs cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping duties of their machine and area based on Master Sanitation Schedule.
- · Administers necessary training to team members.
Requirements
- · High School Diploma or equivalent.
- · Must be punctual and reliable, have a positive attitude, and possess the ability to thrive in a team environment.
- · Ability to read and follow work instructions, do basic math, troubleshoot, and use problem solving skills.
- · Should possess a basic knowledge of tools and have good mechanical aptitude.
- · Experience in food manufacturing and GMP environments.
- · Experience in peanut or tree nut processing or a related field.
- · Flexibility in overtime and shifts.
Physical Requirements
- · Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- · Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces.
- · Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms.
- · Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net, and gloves when required.
- · Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment.
- · Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, and/or wet environmental working conditions.
- · Willing to work around industrial machinery.
- · Ability to work with peanut allergens present in a food environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 50 per week
