PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE : PBF), one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Electrician A to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role is located at Taft, CA.

JOB SUMMARY

Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breaker. Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices. Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools for our Northern Area.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrate ability to apply knowledge of NEC, state, and local codes.
• Be proficient in the safe operation of power tools and test equipment.
• Demonstrate proficient working knowledge of instrumentation - both electronic and pneumatic.
• Demonstrate proficient ability to read, write, and understand electrical blueprint and wiring diagrams.
• Capable of being assigned Electrician tasks without direct supervision.
• Demonstrate ability to provide direction to term electrical contractors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of electronic equipment, i.e., RTU's, PLC's etc.
• Demonstrate understanding of 3-phase circuitry.
• Demonstrate understanding of control circuitry.
• Must be able to read and write, use computer applications such as Windows, E-mail, Microsoft Excel and Word, and SAP.
• Must be able to prepare Procedures, JSA's, perform Loss Prevention Observations, Near Loss Incidents, Incidents, Investigations and Action Items.
• Process and complete documentation associated to local, state, federal, TLC Safety Manual, Measurement Manual, and company records applicable to position.
• Must understand problem shooting and repair techniques of MOVs, Transmitters, snap switches, electric motors / starters etc.
• Must be familiar with equipment malfunction reporting and logging procedures (electrical, mechanical, etc.) as they apply to SAP-PM.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

The Electrician A position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between the West Coast Employee Union - United Steel Workers (WCEU-USW) Local and Torrance Logistics Company LLC.

The pay rate for this position is $49.88 per hour based on the CBA.
